One of my favourite quotes that I try to live by each and every day:
“The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.” Lao Tse
My journey to health and wellness began at a very young age. I was 12 years old when I started to question the role food and drink was playing in my life. I went down different avenues of vegetarianism, veganism, personal training and development to find myself today in a place of balance, serenity, and a desire to learn and experience more! I have gathered along the way one of the fastest ways to grow and evolve is through challenging and embracing our fears.
One “fear” of mine was public speaking. I am grateful to say that today I have had the opportunity to exercise my passion of spreading the word of health and nutrition to 100’s of people.
The human body has always intrigued me and over the years I have learned the importance of nutrients on every level: mind, body and spirit. In 2003 my father passed away from leukemia and the passion flame ignited! My desire to explore the circumstances of this disease became fierce and I established the meaning of balance and prevention. Now, I feel it is my goal and purpose to spread the word to as many as I can reach on the importance of balance in mind, body and spirit.
I am currently speaking at the Running Room’s in the Calgary area to educate athletes on the importance of exercise nutrition regarding hydration and replenishment. My experience expands into the corporate world “lunch and learns” as well as with many health and wellness practitioners such as Chiropractors and Massage Therapists.
I look forward to “the rest of the story” as I continue to develop new relationships and lessons learned; a result of opportunities arose to spread the word of health and wellness.
When I am not conducting seminars, I am working one-on-one with people providing a guided personal plan to ensure each and every one of us experience reaching our goals.
