I am thrilled to be part of an organization that focuses on both the Body and Mind as a whole. When I was first introduced to BodyMind Nutrition, I was excited to learn that we can reach our goals through simple shifts; it doesn’t have to be hard.
My first experience with exercise happened at a really young age. At 2 years old I was enrolled in my first dance class and ever since, I have been a very active person. When I enrolled in College, I was attracted to the idea of lifting weights, but what I didn’t realize at the time was that lifting weights would continue to be and still is a big part of my life.
A healthy body has always been fascinating to me, but it was only a few years ago that I became really “aware” of how powerful the mind is. I suffered from severe menstrual cramps and tried everything under the sun from pain medication to herbal therapies to Magnesium Injections. It wasn’t until I shifted focus to the mind and picked up the book “You Can Heal Your Life,” by Louise Hay that I would notice a considerable difference. A few months passed and I started noticing less pain around my cycle. Today, I can say I am pain free. This truly shows how powerful the mind is!
Through proper nutrition, exercise and positive mental practice, I believe we as humans can achieve anything. I would be honored to share my experiences with you and to learn more about your goals to health and happiness!
